I see the Freestyle set up and I would like to give that a shot. Do I have to buy a different H-block and take out the 2 center wheels?

Alrighty, I was just looking at the Tips And tricks page on the IW website. It looked like they had a bigger grinding spot. Not just from removing the wheels, but by adding in that other plate.

It depends on the frames that you have. The ones in that picture are the 2nd/3rd generation ground control frame, these had removeable h-blocks. Ground crontol offered three types of h-blocks fro those frames, a flat-rocker block, an anti-rocker block, and a freestyle block (the ones in the picture). 50/50 had something similar, they used a standard flat-rocker frame but made what are called "juice blocks" which are blocks that replace the 2nd and 3rd wheels of the frame to create a freestyle frame. You can make any frame into a freestyle frame if you take out the middle wheels. The groove that you see in that picture comes with use, they do not look like that when they are brand new. As with any frame, you need to actually create the groove. You can buy the 50/50 juice blocks and put them in your standard flat-rocker frame but there is no guarantee it will fit perfectly. I know for a face they fit in the Ground Control and Able frames with very little modding; other than that you will just have to try it out for yourself. I hope this helped, good luck.

Ahh thanks alot man. It does help. I am using a pair of TRS Downtown 2's. They seemed like a decent starting pair, especialy after reading your article on a couple pairs of skates. They have a small grind spot. I am starting to wear it down after grinding on curbs(err trying anyway). I think I'll just leave them as they are, and then on my second pair of skates, ill make them have the freestyle set up! Thanks a lot man!

No problem man, you can just buy the freestyle frames and put them on the Downtowns you know. Just a though, you can always re-use the frames on your new skates if anything.
