practice doing frontside and backside stalls first then slowly progress by rolling up to the rail/ledge whatever slowly and try a small grind. just keep practicing

I know what you're doing. It happened to me too. Keep your feet wider, and stay forward on your feet. You're most likely leaning to far back.

yeah do stalls and visualize yourself doing it as to build confidence. start on low rails too so u can keep your balance.

Yeah to me learning those tricks was hard in the beggining...i kept having my back foot lean in and then i would just fall on my hip.
If you go on
Toxboe.com its a good website like the kid said up there. i went on there and it helped me. not only with these tricks but with other basic tricks such as the Mizou and Soul grind.
you should not go fast when ur learning it ...go slow and try getting your feet into position. thats what i did. then after a while start to roll at the rail at an angle.
i used a round edge rail cause its alot better to get your foot in place and have better balance.
but keep trying at it dont give up. its fun once you get it and cant get enough of it. soon youll get it just keep practicing.
ive been skating for like 2 weeks now well a month but it snows over here so i dont count those but i learned my frontside and backside in one day and took me about 20 minutes. if you fall...keep trying
hope that this helped you.
go on WWW.TOXBOE.COM its a good website.
later
