Actually, for vert you would generally want a skate with more support. At high speeds you don't want loose cuffs because it will make you less stable and more prone to fall. In terms of soul width and weight, that's all personal preference because I skate street, grind a lot, and do a lot of technical tricks and switchups and my skates have a combined weight of 11-12 pounds and 2" pos and neg souls. The cuffs are in between so I have some support but also have a decent bit of flex so I can skate both vert and street no problem. I set my skates up so that I can skate practically anything.

But really and truthfully...it boils down to personal preference. Besides, this is an opinion thread and in my opinion, I still say that K2 skates are the best skates in the world.

Have to agree. They are to simple and specific not to be a good skate.
