Default Easton Synergy EQ5 Skates Problem

Hey guys-

I recently purchased a pair of EQ5 Skates for clearance. I was hoping i was getting a great deal on a high end skate.

Well, after baking twice and skating on them 12+ times, i don't think they are fitting me well. I have pain in the middle of my foot, my outside middle is the most pain, and my arch and instep has pain as well.

They feel good in the toe and the heel, but 2/3 isn't good with skates. I can play a game with them, but by the 3rd period, I'm hurting.

Vendor told me they are high end, super stiff, and still require break in.

I'm to the point of going back to my old skates (mission agx) and selling these. Does anybody have an ideas for me before i call it a FAILED experiment?

Thanks

Ian

I would suggest trying some strong arch support insoles like super feet. I was having foot pain with my old skates, like on the outside edge. I got the super feet insoles and that helped. They kept my arches from collapsing, thus keeping them from spreading out/widening while playing. Hope that helps

Wanted to post back. Got the superfeet insoles, and baked one more time. Much better now. I will keep them. Thanks for the help.

My Mission AGX's are sale now: http://hockey.inlinewarehouse.com/sh...779#post134779

I had the same problem; I baked mine once and put in some superfeet. Much better.
