Default help with CCM U+ CL Skates

Hi.
I currently have a pair of Bauer Vapor X6.0. They are great but they are way to tights and they really hurt my foot.
So I'm about to order a pair of CCM U+ CL skates.
I've heard that I should size down 0.5 when going from a pair of Bauer skates to a pair of CCM skates and that the CCM skates have a wider foot. Is this true? Thanks.

from my personal experience, I fit perfectly in a 7.5 in CCM U+ skates, but have to wear size 8 in Bauer.

Regarding width, CCM is wider than the Bauer models.
