I don't know what they do on MSH, but they manage without that, and I never see any of that junk over there.

It would be easier if you appointed a new moderator

Or just checked the forums every day. At least one of the junk posts shows up as the latest in one forum on the main page. A check of the poster, deleting of his posts, a quick ban, and you're done.

Or even checked PMs or email regularly. I sent PMs and email on the sex posts, and it took a few days for the poster to get banned, and a few more before the posts were deleted.

not really efficient that way. When spree was active, spam, would be gone basically as soon as it was posted

More efficient than what's happening now, which was my point. At least it would be something.

Thats great the spam thread actually got spammed. How hard is it to stop this. I know IW isn't making any money on this message board but don't you at least want to portray being effective at cleaning up the spamm. It's getting kind of old now just put one of those capture things in the sign up process.

I noticed that they only spam on posts with 5 star ratings... So if that was eliminated that would fix some of it

Called IW to see if they would consider putting another mod in place since the spam is getting out of control. They said they have one LOL. I guess an employee that checks here once a month counts as one.

It takes more to get the job done, than simply designating someone. The signal-to-noise ratio here is steadily deteriorating.

I've never seen even one of these junk posts on MSH, even in the middle of the night. Maybe they have an extra step in the registration process, and IW could do something similar? Of course, if it's done manually, and I think it may be, that presents the same problem of requiring employee attention and time.

Sadly you need something like a log on to the site and then an auth code to post. That is about the only way to stop it and until it is done the spam will only get worse......
