Default ice or inline

If you had to choose one or the other which would you pick. I have played in an inline hockey leauge for the past 10 years every summer. This winter I joined an ice team which is also going to play in the summer also. So now I have to decide which leauge to play in. I am leaning towards ice because the leauge has alot let drama and I had a blast playing. But what would you pick and why?

id rather play ice hockey, theres more structure and more of a team aspect, but thats just my opinion.

ICE!!!

Nothing beats ice... I stopped playing inline all together once I started playing ice more regularly. there is wayyyyy too much dramam in inline, seems to be a lot more respect from players in ice.

Play what you enjoy the most.
Inline can be slightly faster, allows you to be more creative and individualistic with the puck and puck retention is key. One less player on the rink and no checking makes for a more open game.
Ice has a more structured team game, less puck handling with more passing and rink position is key - ie don't take risks in the neutral zone, dump it into the corner for the forward to chase. Checking and 5 players per side makes for a game were getting caught in possession is a cardinal sin.

If you have played inline for 10 years at a reasonable level and now have a conflict, I'd say give ice a go. You can always return later on and lots of the things you learn in ice will make you a better inline player.

Ice hands dowm. Ice is more expensive for sure, but there is a reason for it. Its real. Inline is kind of like putting up with what is second best. I use to live where ice wasnt close enough to play. So inline was the only game in town. Moved to where both are very close and I wouldnt touch inline with a ten foor stick!

so far you guys are saying what I've been thinking...ICE all the way. It used to be that inline was all I could afford, but now I can afford to play ice and am having a great time doing it. My only real hang up with not playing inline is that I won't get to play with and against the same guys as I have for the past decade. I guess I can always be an inline sub!

My post disappeared, assuming it was deleted?

Low level ice is superior to inline, the egos are smaller.
High level inline, after the egos are checked, is the funniest game I've ever played.

Default ice or inline

I really cant believe there is ice there. I went 3 weeks ago to only 3" and temps have obliterated ice thicker than that. Even if there was 12" of ice I would rather go shoe shopping with the wife. The place sucks
